Mary Beale School of Needlework
Lesson 7
(The needlework chart for this lesson corresponds with Lesson 12 of the School)
Miniatures are Marvelous!
I have always loved miniatures. Several years ago, when my granddaughter was two, I created a miniature fairy garden for her. I thought it would be such fun. I picked out the plants, miniature furniture, and other things to put in the “fairy” garden. I had a blast, but I think I was a little too eager to share it with my granddaughter…she just enjoyed playing with the dirt! This project I have created for the kids is with a fairy garden in mind. I have styled the houses after old English round houses. Coloring them and putting them on the toilet paper rolls should be fun. The cone roofs will add the finishing touch. They almost have a hobbit look! I think you will enjoy the lesson on miniatures that goes with this activity.
