This is a project I did for Victoria Magazine back in the early 1990s. I probably redesigned this ten times. I remember showing one of the first versions to my husband. I didn’t like it, but thought I would get his opinion. He looked at it and said it looked like an octopus. Well, that design was discarded. After many many tries this design emerged. I have always liked it! When I took it to the photo shoot in Gloucester, MA, the editor took it and, as we were talking, she started twirling my Glad Tidings needlework around and around. My needlework is like my baby. You do not twirl babies!
